Donate To Youth Code Jam

We need your help!

Help grow the workforce of the tomorrow through your contribution or sponsorship.

While most of our events are free of charge, for those where there is some charge to cover costs, no child is ever turned away because of an inability to pay.

We put a lot of thought and effort into the design of our jams and programs.

Our community jam stations are arranged to mirror the pathway to a professional programming career. Our She Code Connect events reflect the social activities in the growing women-in-tech movement. Our LitBits program pairs literature with tech to foster appreciation for computer science in kids who have a passion for the humanities and the arts. Our teacher training initiatives help schools bring budget-wise tech programs into libraries and classrooms.

We focus on teaching kids and teens systems thinking, critical thinking, design, basic coding languages and more. Along the way, we also help them (and their families and teachers) discover the value of “soft skills” like collaboration, creativity, leadership, and community engagement.

Together these skills make young people highly desirable candidates for college and industries seeking bright minds and dedicated employees.

Help us keep our programs and events affordable!

Individual gifts and corporate sponsorships help us democratize computer science education for kids. Our jams are free to participants and we are able to offer summer camps to low-income students because of gifts made to our organization by people like you.

Youth Code Jam is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

Individual Gifts

Whether it’s $5 or $500, your gift will go a long way to helping us grow and diversify the region’s technology workforce. Individual donations may be made via PayPal. Credit card and checks may also be submitted via mail using or donation form.

Sponsorship Opportunities

We love to partner with corporate sponsors who share our vision of a diverse, engaged tech workforce. We’re also open to collaboration when it comes to determining which of our events or programs would make the best, most logical fit for your contribution--and your budget.

Need a few ideas for how you might work with us? Here are some suggestions:

  • Sponsor scholarships for low income students and those under-represented in the technology industry to attend summer camp and other learning activities

  • Underwrite the cost of student attendance at our free code jam and community events

  • Be the title sponsor for on one of our outreach events

  • Provide giveaways and goodies for our students

  • Sponsor the snacks at our camps

  • Buy a laptop (or two or three) to loan to a student who doesn’t have one at our events

  • Help us purchase cool tech toys for our students to play with

  • Tap into our students for high school internships at your company
