Computational Thinking is the thought process involved in formulating problems and their solutions so that the solutions are represented in a form that can be effectively carried out by an information-processing agent – human or machine. It’s a skill we work on a lot at Youth Code Jam.

Youth Code Jam held a drone camp a couple of summers ago for middle and high school NEISD students. The 17 lucky students that attended this camp received hands on experience with CoDrone, the world’s first fully student programmable drone.

Youth Code Jam was included in an announcement by President Barack Obama as part of his #CSForAll initiative at the end of January, recognizing the San Antonio nonprofit’s commitment to reach at least 1,000 students with the opportunity to learn to code.
