Students learn to program AutoAuto’s self-driving cars using Python at a camp hosted at Palo Alto College during the summer of 2019.

We believe in bringing opportunities to engage with code and technology year-round. From Python to self-driving cars to connecting tech to community issues, we partner with local organizations to offer a variety of camps to K-12 students — both on- and offline.

Our camps are a great way for students to get in-depth and hands-on experience with different computer technologies, as well as meet other students who share their interests.

Each camp has a project component where students can work together or individually to showcase what they learned from the camp.

We have more camps coming up, so check back for updates!

CODE the future Camp at Palo Alto

  • Game Design with MakeCode Arcade - June 3 - 14

  • Python & AI with AutoAuto - July 8 - 19

  • Finch & BBC micro:bit - July 22 - August 2

We’re partnering with Palo Alto for three different summer camps! Each camp is two weeks long.

  • The first camp is Game Design with MakeCode Arcade (June 3-14). What’s in a game? During this two-week camp, you will level up your coding fundamentals while making and learning about games and their essential elements. Using MakeCode Arcade, a retro-style game-building platform made by Microsoft, you will create different types of games with visual programming.

  • Python & AI with AutoAuto (July 8-19). Get ready, get set, CODE! In this fun, interactive camp, you will explore machine learning and AI concepts using the AutoAuto self-driving car platform and Python. Join us as we learn concepts tied to the real-world applications of autonomous vehicle technology. Some typing is required.

  • Finch & BBC micro:bit (July 22 - August 2). During this two-week camp, you will use Finch Robots and BBC micro:bits to gain foundational coding skills with physical technology. Explore visual programming and use the BBC micro:bit, a tiny programmable computer, to make your own ideas come to life and control the Bird Brain Technology Finch Robot.

CAMP AWESOME! WE:Code

Join Autism Community Network and Youth Code Jam for a fun summer Coding Camp!

This camp is geared towards students ages 10-15 years old.

Your child will learn coding fundamentals through a survey of different technologies and hands-on, project-based learning. We understand kids learn in different ways, so we use different techniques to pique your child's interest. We use a combination of physical technology as well as other methods to explore code, such as creating retro-style games on the computers. Your child will build their confidence and sharpen future skills.

On top of learning, this is a camp to make friends and have fun along the way!

*Registration will open up for this camp soon.

Bits ‘N Bytes Virtual Coding Club

Our Bits ‘N Bytes virtual coding club is coming back up this summer! This virtual coding club is open to students in 3rd-8th grade of all skill levels in any city. We meet virtually to introduce young learners to computational thinking through fun, engaging, and interactive activities.

Bit ‘N Bytes virtual coding club will meet every Thursday through zoom from 5PM - 6PM.
