coordinator (full-time)

The EIC Coordinator has a key role in growing a sustainable and successful program, responsible for supporting our instructors in implementing new and innovative coding curriculum,
aligning new and existing curriculum to state and national standards, instructing at after school clubs and camps and testing lesson plans in the classroom.
Assist with training instructors on best practices in instruction and classroom management. In addition, the Lead position will develop and
teach new and innovative TEKS-aligned teacher professional development workshops.

You’ll work closely with the Educational Programs Manager and be responsible for Youth Code Jam curriculum development.
Relationship building is a top priority at all times, attending to the needs and requests of instructors, program participants,
volunteers, and all people associated with Youth Code Jam in a courteous and friendly manner.  


Lead coding Instructor (Part-time)

You’ll inspire creativity, build confidence and help students gain coding experience and computational thinking skills for the jobs of tomorrow.
The lead instructors’ primary role is to lead and oversee all operations of your assigned sessions, develop and carry out activities and lesson plans,
manage the classroom and lead the assistant instructors/mentors assigned to your session.

You’ll work closely with the Educational Programs Manager. Lead instructors must quickly establish and build positive relationships with program participants,
families, staff and partners. Each day varies greatly, which is part of what makes this job so much fun!

You’ll be responsible for teaching a coding curriculum to groups of K-12 students! Create an inclusive atmosphere where every student
is respected and appreciated for their own talents and individuality. Ensure the safety of all students and staff.

We are currently hiring for a part-time position for this role.


assistant coding Instructor (Part-time)

You’ll inspire creativity, build confidence and help students gain coding experience and computational thinking skills for the jobs of tomorrow.
You’ll be a mentor, motivator, ambassador, facilitator, collaborator.

As an assistant instructor, you will work closely with a lead instructor, curriculum coordinator and your fellow instructors/mentors to deliver creative learning opportunities,
facilitate student engagement and measure successful outcomes. You will have the opportunity to engage with elementary, middle and high school students,
supporting them in learning computing and computational thinking in a fun, dynamic environment.
