In response to school closures, Youth Code Jam has launched a Virtual Learning Hub with access to coding and computational thinking materials in both English and Spanish for students, teachers and parents. All free of charge.

Conn's HomePlus joined Spurs Sports & Entertainment to celebrate Ed White DATA/Youth Code Jam CoderPals by hosting an amazing event with Spurs Player Lonny Walker and the Coyote and donating 40 laptops to support Youth Code Jam’s work in expanding access and broadening participation in computer science education.

Interested teachers, librarians and administrators from ESC Regions 1 (Rio Grande Valley) and 13 (Austin Area) can apply to be a part of the KLE Jam in a Box Cohort at bit.ly/wecanjam. Deadline to apply is September 30.

Youth Code Jam is the first and only San Antonio organization to be selected. Work will expand thanks to a major grant from The KLE Foundation to seed Community Code Jams in Austin and the Rio Grande Valley. 

Members of Texas PTA are invited to apply for a grant that includes hands-on training with Youth Code Jam and materials and activities needed to host their own Community Code Jams.

A pilot of Jam in the Box took place last year, resulting in 37 jams in 21 Texas cities with the same powerful outcomes as Youth Code Jam-run events.

Youth Code Jam receives a STEM Action grant from the Society for Science and the Public to eradicate barriers in learning to code and reduce the digital divide for families whose first language is not English.

In celebration of the opening of its Eastside Tech Hub, H-E-B honored Youth Code Jam with a $10,000 donation to support our work teaching kids to code in both San Antonio and Austin.
