Code the Future: Game Design 101

In this camp, students will unleash their creativity through immersive video game design. Students will have an opportunity develop a game from start to finish through storyboarding, sequencing, design and coding. Students will meet guest speakers who are actual game developers, hear their stories, and discuss ideas related to their games. On the last day of camp, parents/guardians and friends will have the opportunity to see all the students’ projects during an End of Camp Showcase. Best of all, students will have the opportunity to show off their games! No prior coding experience is required. Code the Future Camps are funded by the Texas Workforce Commission allowing for a free summer coding experience. Lunch will be provided for all Code the Future campers with support of the Texas Workforce Commission.

Participation Requirements:
Must be an incoming 6th to 8th grade student
Must be able to attend 9 out of 10 days of camp
Must provide end-of-year report card at least one week prior to camp start.
This will be reviewed by camp director to confirm camp placement.
